EDC Breakdown: Sig Sauer P365X Showdown – Bryan vs Joseph’s Setup
When it comes to everyday carry, few pistols hit the sweet spot quite like the Sig Sauer P365X. It's compact, reliable, and customizable—exactly what we both need for day-in, day-out carry. But here's the twist: while both Joseph and I carry the same base pistol, our setups take very different paths.
So let’s break down our real-world EDC configurations, what works for each of us, and why these setups are more than just range toys.
🧵 Our Pistols: The P365X Platform
Both rigs are built around the Sig Sauer P365X—a micro-compact pistol with 12+1 capacity out of the box. It’s flat-shooting, easy to conceal, and big enough to shoot well without giving up comfort.
🧪 Barrels: Trybe Threaded for the Win
We’ve both upgraded to Trybe threaded barrels in our P365Xs. Not only do they look slick with the extended profile, but they also open the door for compensators or future suppressor use. Reliable, accurate, and drop-in ready - it's a small upgrade with a big performance return.
💪 Grip Modules: Factory vs Sharps Bros
Bryan’s Setup: I run the stock Sig Sauer P365X/P365XL grip module. It’s textured just right, fits my hand well, and doesn’t print under a t-shirt.
Joseph’s Setup: Joseph swapped in the Sharps Bros grip module, and it completely changes the feel. It’s beefier, with enhanced ergonomics and styling that’s all business.

🎒 Magazines: 12+1 Standard, 17 as Backup
We both run 12-round magazines in the gun for the best blend of concealment and shootability.
For spares, we carry 17-round P365X-Macro mags—more firepower, same platform.
We get all our magazines from GunMag Warehouse.
🔍 Optics: Transitioning from Romeo Zero to Romeo-RS Compact
We both started out with the discontinued Romeo Zero, but I’ve already transitioned to the Sig Sauer Romeo-RS Compact, while Joseph is in the process of making the switch. It’s rugged, clear, and made to match the profile of the P365 slide perfectly.

🚖 Appendix Carry Setups: Leather Done Right
Bryan’s Holster: I carry in a We The People Holsters Independence Leather IWB, and it’s been solid. Rides close, draws fast.
Joseph’s Holster: He runs the 1791 GunLeather SCH (Size 3)—smooth leather, quality stitching, no-nonsense fit.

💼 Belts: NexBelt for the Win
We both use the NexBelt EDC series, and if you’re still rocking a floppy leather dress belt—or a single-layer rigger belt like the kind still sold by some major manufacturers who will remain nameless—for carry, it’s time to upgrade. It’s adjustable on the fly, rock-solid under load, and comfortable for all-day wear.

📓 Mag Carriers: Pitbull Tactical
We both run Pitbull Tactical Universal Mag Carriers. Simple, lightweight, and they hold any double-stack pistol mag we throw at them.

📆 Final Thoughts: Built for the Real World
There’s no perfect EDC setup for everyone. But this side-by-side comparison shows how even two shooters running the same gun can fine-tune their rigs for different feel, fit, and function.
Whether you’re sticking with factory simplicity or going custom with grip modules and extras, the Sig P365X remains one of the best carry platforms available.
